Citizen Ticket is a UK based ethical platform on a mission to put the trust back into ticketing. The service is free for organisers to use, with just a simple booking fee – discounted to 8% for BAFA members (normally 10%) – charged to customers.
As an organiser, you’ll benefit from a range of features designed to make your event run simply and securely, including access to a digital box office which can be set up anywhere with an internet connection, a ticket scanning app, referral rewards to incentivise ticket sales, and the option to allow automatic refunds.
Customers receive their tickets into their personal digital ‘one wallet’, this features a single, unique QR code where all tickets are held, ensuring authenticity and security, and requiring just one quick scan of a customer’s app or confirmation email for entry to an event. Tickets can also be transferred to friends and family using just an email address or phone number, meaning that organisers are equipped with data on actual event attendees, not just those who have purchased tickets.
Citizen Ticket’s platform is built on bespoke blockchain technology, utilising its fundamental principles of transparency, authenticity and security to combat the dubious world of ticket touting and fraud, and presenting this solution in a straightforward manner, with no previous knowledge required!
