A Festival Career

Knowledge and networking for the next generation of festival professionals

Working with the next generation of festival and events professionals.

BAFA partners with a number of UK universities to offer training opportunities for current event management students.

Our flagship A Festival Career programme brings together students, academics and current industry experts in a friendly and informal environment to deliver talks, panel discussions and opportunities for mentoring, allowing students to make connections and start to build a professional network.

A Festival Career 2024

Wednesday 9 October, 1pm – 4pm

Manchester Metropolitan University Business School

Join a range of festival professionals who discuss their routes into a career in festivals and the best – and worst – things about working in the festivals sector. As well as a panel featuring speakers from festivals including Harrogate International Festivals, Gobefest, Newbury Spring Festival and Chiltern Arts, there will be opportunities to ‘meet the mentors’ in small groups, so that you can make connections and start to build the professional network that will kickstart your career in events.

Tickets are free for students attending BAFA member universities, and £15 for non-members.
