Festival or Organisation description:
Tenby Arts Festival is now in its 25th year and opens with a performance by local choirs of choral extracts from the Messiah. Alison Neil returns once again to delight with her exquisite one woman plays. The Kenneh-Mason family will show the prodigious talent these young musicians have and the Oriel Duo (piano and violin) add to the classical music element of the Festival. The occasion would not be complete without our local Tenby Male Choir performing in the town’s beautiful old church. Talks to simulate many interests are arranged with subjects including Augustus John, Sunderland Flying Boats, Evolution, Ted Hughes and jazz legend Josephine Baker. A Book Fair, poetry readings, folk music, a sand castle competition and Pint Sized Plays ensure a balanced week of entertainment in an attractive Pembrokeshire seaside town.
