Annual International Jane Austen Festival in Bath UK. In 2018 during the course of ten days, over 80 events will take place throughout the city during this the longest running and largest Festival on Austen in the world. Some of the events planned are: everything from workshops on dancing and needlework to minibus tours of the city and novel locations, also superb concerts, a musical theatrical production of Persuasion, costume talks, literary discussions, foody events, ghost walks and light-hearted presentations on the world of Jane Austen. Now in its 18th year with thousands of visitors from all over the world, the Jane Austen Festival is famous for its Grand Regency Costumed Promenade through the city of Bath and its stunning Regency Costumed Masked Ball in the historic Pump Rooms and Roman Baths. The Festival attracts as many participants in 21st Century clothing as those wishing to dress Regency style throughout the ten days and everyone is welcome. Each event is ticketed and the prices vary from free for the novel reading to £100+ for the Regency Costumed Masked Ball.
On 7th July the Regency Costumed Summer Ball will take place at the beautiful 18th Century Banqueting Room of the Guildhall, in the Centre of Bath with an afternoon dance workshop to practise for the ball in the evening.
